Provide Enjoyment and Contribute to Society through Products and Services
The Happinet Group provides enjoyment and delight through a variety of products and services, contributing to a rich and fulfilling life.
Started Taking Orders for Sports and Live Entertainment OEM Goods
In the Toy Business, we are under contract to produce the Sonic Streaming System (SSS), a soundwave-controlled glow stick that connects people at venues and provides the value of a memorable experience. It does this by lighting up the glow stick in vivid colors controlled only by soundwaves from music or videos.
SSS is equipped with a system in which light is controlled in response to sound, eliminating the need for capital investment, application development, and Bluetooth settings by the user that are required for conventional radio wave receivers. We plan to develop products in new categories such as the live events and sports domains.

In April 2024, we also released the glow stick HOTALUNA for women, ideal for oshikatsu activities. Developed in collaboration with influencers specializing in oshikatsu activities, the glow stick is an ideal accessory for oshikatsu on the go. It allows users to register two favorite colors for the light, and comes with an attachment for inserting photos of fan’s favorite idols, celebrities, or characters.

Expanding Happinet-run “gashacoco” Capsule-toy Stores
In the Amusement Business, we have 105 “gashacoco” capsule-toy stores nationwide (as of the end of March 2024), selling a wide variety of capsule toys based on the concept of “excitement and fun is here.”
The aim is to develop a store that meets the needs of a wide range of customers by devising ways to build better stores and offering a wide range of products, while also increasing customer touchpoints by holding in-store events and social media promotions. Additionally, some stores have installed in-store tablets for product location searches to improve customer convenience.
Furthermore, in March 2023, we started looking for franchisees to further strengthen and expand our lineup of “gashacoco” stores. We will continue to promote initiatives that can bring joy to more customers.

Create Services from the Perspective of Business Partners and Consumers
The Happinet Group creates and provides new services from the perspective of business partners and consumers. We are committed not only to providing products but also to proposing new added value as well.
Assisting Suppliers and Providing Enjoyment by Holding Game Events
The Video-Game Business has been holding a Happinet gaming event called Happinet Game Festival! As well as providing a whole host of trial games for all visitors to enjoy, the event also offers a variety of game-related experiences unique to the Group, which handles numerous game titles. The event features a wide variety of popular gaming merchandise, hosting programs on stage, and a dedicated photo spot. These events give more exposure of game titles and stimulate interest among users, which also helps many publishers.

Barrier-Free Screenings
In the Visual & Music Business, we help to conduct “barrier-free” screenings for all Japanese films we distribute to assist people with disabilities, including specialized subtitles and voice guidance. We will continue to promote the spread of these barrier-free screenings, and at the same time, actively contribute to the entertainment genre in order to contribute to the realization of a society of coexistence with mutual respect for one another’s personality and individuality without being divided by disability, aligning with the principles of the Act for Eliminating Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities.

Contributing to the SDGs through Toys
Happinet Online, an e-commerce site operated by our Group, has a special feature page, Toys for SDGs and Social Good, to help customers find toys that are better for the future Earth and for their children.
The special feature page lists a range of diverse toys that benefit society from a number of manufacturers. These toys are listed in three sub-pages: Environmentally Friendly Toys, Universal Toys, and Toys Tailored for Developmental Growth, with the goal of helping children find toys that everyone can enjoy, and helping to foster ideas for a sustainable society not only at school but also at play. Since these pages exist within the Happinet Online website, toys that catch the user’s interest can be purchased on the spot.

Develop a System Concerning the Development and Creation of New Businesses
To achieve sustainable growth and development, the Happinet Group strives to build a system for business creation that enables the continuous generation of new ideas.
Design and Introduction of a New Business Proposal System
The Happinet Group introduced the “FRoM” new business proposal program in April 2023, gathering a great deal of employee participation despite being in its first year. This fiscal year, we will continue to use this system to promote the creation of new businesses that help solve issues faced by consumers by establishing a process for employees to commercialize their own ideas.

Promote Internal Understanding of Sustainability
The Happinet Group actively promotes internal measures to raise awareness about sustainability, aiming for employees to understand the company’s sustainability issues and take the initiative in addressing them.
Promoting Internal Understanding of Sustainability
We regularly post articles on our intranet, including basic explanations such as “What is sustainability?” and introductions on the Group’s materiality and promotion system.
Furthermore, together with the Group Vision and Principles of Conduct, we have compiled a Sustainability Policy and the materialities into a small booklet titled Knowledge of Happinet, which employees can carry with them at all times.
We will continue to communicate information in a way that encourages each and every employee to think about sustainability as their own personal responsibility so that action can be taken.
